In light of the global Coronavirus pandemic and the concern relating thereto, Harvestfresh Farms (Pty) Ltd would like to assure every stakeholder of the measures we're taking to combat the spread of this disease.
Since we already have the highest food safety certification (FSSC22000), we've always prided ourselves on maintaining the highest standards to ensure that the final products that consumers find on the shelves in stores, are safe. The recent pandemic, however, necessitates additional measures. Because of this, we'd like to guarantee to all our clients and consumers of the following procedures that have been implemented to maintain and strengthen the overall food safety and hygiene throughout the company:
- Additional sanitizing and handwashing procedures.
- Sanitisation of all means of transport including staff busses, taxis and internal / external delivery vehicles.
- Employee screening and immediate containment protocols should anyone showcase symptoms of being ill, including testing and self-quarantine.
- Restricted access to the company premises – no external visitors allowed unless crucial to aspects relating to production and operations.
- Visitors to be strictly screened and abide by all extended hygiene and food safety measures, and will only be allowed into production facilities should it be vital and unavoidable to the continuation of production and related processes.
- All meetings and related occurrences cancelled for the foreseeable future where possible, with communication being done strictly electronically.
- Isolation of production departments – employees to only work in their identified department, with internal migration between departments denied.
- Training for all employees on awareness, causes of transmission, prevention, symptoms and other related measures and protocols.
- Approaching external advisors for further advice and suggestions where necessary and applicable.
We’d like to assure all our stakeholders that we take this pandemic seriously, and that we are continuously initiating additional measures to ensure we are prepared for all scenarios.
Please feel free to contact our offices at 016 590 1236 if further reassurance is need.
